...You're making a horror map for a game, and eventually when you play it, you forgot one of the scariest scripted scenes you made, and you freak the hell out once it is activated...

It actually makes me satisfied that I made it scary.

Does this sound familiar to anyone?

I've made surprising moments in my maps, but I don't think I've ever went for the scary motif. Oh wait I did, it was for the mod: Zombie Panic Source. I never finished it, but it wouldn't have been scary scripted sequences, just a scary setting with good ambient sounds. But I have forgotten scripted scenes in my maps after not having played them in a year. -Does that count?

I don't think I get satisfied with myself for doing that though... Just concerned that's it's been so long since I've mapped, ugh....

This thread has now made me depressed. Oh wait! I'm gonna turn my graduate architecture project into a mini hybrid sort of map for my building and context, if not parts of it. So that'll be my re-introduction to mapping again, after a year on hiatus or business. I need to use the instances tool; I've been waiting to use that.

Think of it being near as detailed as this, but then the camera flies into your player-character's head and you can walk around.

I did that last week on a map I was working on. I removed the sequence shortly afterward.
Now remember kids. Asking questions is a good way to get censored by the government.
