Inspired of ForceFlows 'Snarkpit VHE' I had the idea to create a Snarkpit IRC Client based on mIRC. As you know there are many good mIRC modifications out there but I think it would be cool to add something special:

'Hammer Button' - Launches VHE and has a broadcast function like: /me is working on <mapname> (Maybe more info: with <textures.wad> or <brushes>?)

'Teh Snark Button' - Commands of the ^Snark^ Bot like 'op me' etc.

<ADD YOUR IDEAS HERE!>

Further it needs pre-configured stuff like auto-join to *.quakenet.org and #snarkpit

Now we need a crew... I am not that good in scripting/programming so I need volunteers. I am experienced in creating graphics so I can do the 'GUI' or icons.

How about making native win32 port of irssi (www.irssi.org), with skinnable win32 gui that would have all that snarkpit s**t on default skin.

How about starting begin august ? We all have the mapping competition to get in a hurry for now, and I'm leaving on holiday ...

I'm willing to create a small site for the project, and do some scripting. (I just started, don't expect anything big.)

Why would you want to modify mIRC? XChat provides a freely modifiable IRC client, with source, already..

Are you guys still in for this ?

and ohw yeah (-> Ding's Sig) ... WSAENOTSOCK is a HL console error
message concerning an older LAN protocol that no one uses any more.
It's the same as : "<span style="font-style: italic;">could not find that protocol, so I continue with the TCP/IP protocol"

<span style="font-style: italic;"><span style="font-style: italic;"></span></span>

</span>
