Very strange. The map isn't there in his profile, but I didn't think it was possible to delete a thread if you aren't a moderator?

i felt badly for him, but maps have gone badly before.. obviously the map had potential..

i hope its just a database glitch, cause if he comes back and finds it missing, he may take it as an insult.

worse, i hope he did not request it removed.. that would pose a serious character flaw on his part IMO.

i was thinking if the map is deleted from the profile so will the
thread because of the way you have to select the map you want from a
dropdown, so if the map aint there the thread aint either. Just a
thought

I can't tell you where it has gone - unless Lep has deleted it, which I
doubt severely, it either means "self deletion" is available to thread
authors, or it's some big ass database glitch.

you can resent it all week if you like, but if it were removed for no reason at all (and unless something horrible happened after i went to bed, that would be the case) i would be extremely upset with the mods..

but, allow your temper to simmer a bit and read line 3, if it were me, and it was a glitch, i'd be insulted till i found out for sure..

the mods around here are for the most part, sterling, but neither perfect be.. i will not let something slip by unspoken, just because a moderator did it.. taps foot unless you are telling me to, in which case, i think you should say it in an open forum, and allow everyone to read it.

my feeling is that its some glitch in the system.. has happened before.. but accident or deliberate, i would feel bad in any case.

actually, if you read that entire post, it doesn't even insinuate a mod did anything wrong.. i think STRONGLY that you may owe me an apology.

More than likely he removed it himself because he wasn't ready for
constructive criticism, or that seems the most feasible explanation.

But I felt under attack because Jeffs comment was quoted, which was
mostly about moderator intervention - then, you followed with

forgive me if I did misinterpret but as I say, the history of
certain troubles with moderators would imply I reached a logical
conclusion.

and also, I did ask "is your bad feeling that it's been moderated, Orph?".

I didn't get a reply, just a kneejerk response to a kneejerk response.

Needless to say I think the whole point of the thread has been lost now, I consider the discussion closed.

i don't cause whether an apology is pending or not, is not the issue.. the issue is a continuation of insinuations that in themselves cause grief.. as i said, the mods are for the most part sterling, but not perfect.. i will continue to believe it is my obligation to keep them on the straight and narrow, if that upsets them, well guess what? its supposed to.. it makes them think, and when they think, they are doing their jobs correctly.

as to myself accusing our mods of wrong actions would i post comments like this if i were evil..

the only times tutorials do NOT get posted here are if they are redundant and cover the same material we have to closely to be called original, or if they are very poorly written..

otherwise, give it enough time.. if its not up in say 3 or 4 days, send a friendly reminder email or PM.. tutorials have come up missing due to database glitches (i assume) but i have never seen one ignored.

my own reputation is not sterling either, but at least... i realize it.

this particular situation won't stop, till you allow it to.
