I?m bulding a canal, where you get innout by ladders in cs:s. My problem is now, that the hostages following get IN the canal (I suppose, they fall into) but they can not get (climb) out of the canal, so i cant rescue them...
I?m using func_useableladder entities for the ladders and they work for players so why they don?t for hosties?

Maybe consider adding an elevator? or stair? or maybe a sneaky cave up ? Ladders so far as i know do Not work for hosties try an alternative method

No elevator or stairs wouldn?t look authentic in this map. After 3 days of futile search in forums I found another ?waypoint? for NPCs (such as info_node for hosties), the entity info_node_climb. Does anybody know something about these?

I don't know if it would work but you could make a highly compacted
invisible stairs out of clip brushes in front of the ladder. They might
be able to naviagte it, although it's unlikely.

I don't think the hostages have any ladder climbing animations built into their models, so I suspect Valve wouldn't have made it so they could climb ladders (otherwise it would look stupid!). So, hostages probably CAN'T use ladders. You can get round this by clipping off the canal (there's probably an entity/material which acts as an NPC clip) or making another route out of the canal involving ramps or lifts...

I don't recall the terrorists or counter-terrorists having ladder animations either. I could be mistaken though.

This is true- actually, I think all the humans have shared "base" animations- but hey, Valve could never be arsed to figure out ladders and shooting properly
