ive tried to make a map with sky and there has been no luck i dont relly know whats happening but i know its something to do with a file heres my compile list:

Are you using the correct skybox texture? Have you changed the name of the skybox in Map Properties? Type sky into the texture browser to see what skies are available.

Goto MAP, Map Properties. There you can change the skybox texture. The default one doesn't work in CS. There's a list of skyboxes in the texture browser. Just get rid of the dn, up etc part of the name.

(what it says in bold, you can't use HL2 skies in CS:Source, and vice-versa- Lep.)

Hey, i'm making a HL DM map , did the things u said to make the sky work ... but it still says that it can't find the sky :/. I'm using this sky " skybox/sky_day01_01 ". Also tried without " sky/ " .. but no effect ..

My floor-texture isn't working too , How can i see which textures i can use for HL DM ? I thougt it would be allright when i launched Hammer with " Half Life : Deathmatch " ticked .. but now it seems that some textures cant be seen ??

Can someone help meh ?

ive tryed that but still no luck.....itis still coming up that it cant load the files which i am trying to use. Its starting to get really enoying

Recheck the name, in the texture browser it says "skybox/de_cobblert" for example. The part you want to type into map properties for this sky is only de_cobble. The rt is for right, the lf for left, the ft for front, the bk for back the up for up and the dn for down. These will be applied to the right sides if you just put de_cobble as sky.

ok ok ive got it to work but.....it says

Run buildcubemaps in the engine to get the correct cube maps.

when i do this it goes weird is it supposed to do this?

Well, you do get some weird boxes in the upper-right corner of the screen, and it stops at the last picture for like 20 seconds before going back to normal gameplay, but yeah, that's normal.
