The only skybox that works is the wasteland one with the cracks in it.
Anyone know of some others I have tried sky_dust and almost all the
others they give me the hall of mirrors effect any help?

Type "sky" into your texture browser. You will find textures named "skynamelf" and "skynamert" etc. Any sky you see here is available for use. just type the "skyname" into the proper location in map properties.

Nanodeath has it right, that link has the appropriate names

the files are actually like sky_name_03ft (well the "ft" and other endings need to be excluded in the map settings)

as for the wastelands, there is something wrong with that texture, i went through many of them and that is the only one that i saw with the visable corners

Hi

It seems so far that the bydefault sky texture is meesing up ( or might
be some settings I havent discovered yet) .So its better to set another
sky texture if you are to use skys in your map.

The "ft" , "dn" etc things stand for left, down, right etc. So , you are not to add them in the map name properties
