hi everybody  ,

I'm practicing all kind of entities to build maps after. But I've read some documents and I still don't understand how the phys_contraint work. Here is what i did :

First of all i build a beam with 2 ropes attaching it. When the map starts the beam swing and break something. But what i want is to break something that hold the beam. In fact, I don't want to start the map and the beam swing at starting...( not logical ) .

I hope someone can explain me in details what i have to do to get the phys_contraint works. Thx to all of you and have a great day !

Okay... so put a length constraint holding the beam in it's up position, then have a button or something kill target the constraint.

That's just one way to do it. You could also just put a breakable object in it's path to block it's motion. just remember that you have to tick the "no physics damage" flag otherwise your swinging beam might just break your blocker from it's sheer weight.
