I have made several ladders in a hl2 deathmatch map, when i hit check for errors I get the message 'unused keyvalue "origin"' for all the ladders in my map.
How do I remove this error?

Goto your ladders, open the properties, push the button that says "smart edit" to turn it OFF. You will the see the "raw" entris. One of them will be origin. Highlight and delete the key.
WARNING: this might kill your ladder. Try it on a test map first. When I found this error, and I went and looked, the origin key DID have a value under it and so I left it alone.

To remove the origin is the way to go, I think the entity to use for the ladders is func_usableladder. This entity has a starting and ending point and does not use the origin even if it is specified, thanx for the great tip Degenatron!
I had forgotten all about the smart edit option.
