Is it possible to make a surface slippery? like reduce the friction or

one......

i wana make a big slope (displacement map) and make little sleds to go down .... just experimenting.....

This has been answered before, but since you can't find it with a search for "slippery"...

It's a material property. If you're making your own material files (.vmt), use

"$surfaceprop" "ice" (or "slipperymetal" or "slipperyslime").

If you want to use standard materials, I think the "dev/ice" and "nature/mudfloor4bs" already have slippery properties.

Are you mapping for CS:S? It might not have those materials.

I had the name of the textures wrong - it's "dev/dev_measureice01" and "nature/mudfloor004bs".
