I've placed some combine in my map (4 to be precise) and i've given
them a weapon stun stick. however when I go ingame they just stand
there and they don't activate their stun sticks (as seen at the station
in HL2) all they do is knock me in the ead when I come to close. I'm
trying to recreate a similar scene as the one in HL2 where you get
knocked out cold by the combine and wakeup with alyx in your face.

You have to modify ai_scripted_sequence to make the combine police attack you that way. Otherwise the default AI will only attack when the player is very close.

That makes sense. Imagine if you just have a stun stick. Would you approach someone with an assault rifle and ask for a fight? I don't think so.

i beleive what your looking for is a logic_auto or something, but it describes the scene with gordon being a criminal, or something like that, so they come after you. as for the knock out cold thing, the effect for that is also used in areas of city 17, ie if you go past a point and get hit with a stick your vision goes white. the alyx scene is very scripted tho. :sailor: :grenade:
