I wouldnt have know about this unless I was surfing the steam forums
(ohh boy its spam galore there). Soo I'd thought I'd pass the info onto
the next person who doesnt know about them.

ATI released their new 5.1 drivers (from the pervious 4.9.#). It can be found HERE

They have Linux drivers for X86 and 64-bit machines. Cards from 8500 to x800 ...

I think the better question would be: do they work well?

They work fine. They've had Xfree support for donkeys years, but any
distribution that is being activly maintained has switched to xorg in
the last few months, rendering those xfree drivers utterly unstable,
crashey, horrible, patchy and the rest that goes with that.

Ah, I miss read what you said. See? Making letters bigger doesn't make them easier to read.

Loco, are you part of "The
Revolution"?

No, WC. It's just disorienting. I think the
exclamation points threw me off.

Yep!

I've got myself a 64-bit AMD Athlon 3000+, and I'm messing around with
Windows 64-bit edition. It's actually quite good, once you've got the
motherboard driver issues sorted. On my machine it tended to not
recognise the speaker plugs, and labelled it "unknown PCI device", but
once I got the drivers it was fine. Firefox also works well on it. Roll
on the final releases...
