Strange things are happening in my map... i'm asking this because i
have a decent knowledge of hammer but can't find what causes this.

walls are suddenly totally black. in another place of the map, walls
becomes black only viewed from a certain position and angle.

As you can see, spotlight makes them visible.

There aren't any leaks, vis and leafs info are correct, and already tried rebuilding the brushes...

You've used a model or prop texture on a brush, most likely. Don't do that.

It's not straight black though, it looks like black bricks, maybe you have another brush coming through? That would explain the only on some angles.

and i should pick another texture and just hope it hasn't been build for a prop?

Look at the texture name - if it starts with "prop" or "model" you
shouldn't use it on a brush. (Bring up the texture brower and select
"only used textures" to see which ones you're using quickly).

What texture is it supposed to be? Try changing the texture is all I can think of, I'm not very experienced

you're right. there is another, identical version of that texture, but isn't named "prop..."

I always thought at prop textures as all that separate pieces used for UV maps.

i'll pay more attention next time...

I think you can use prop textures fine cause im using some in my map and they work perfect its just modle textures which muck up.
