This question is for Counter Strike Source.

This may be impossible or it may not be, I dont know, I have searched
everywhere I can think of and tried everything I can, Maybe im just
stupid but all I want is a simple wagon that will roll.

I have tried the basic Prop_Physic and the Override and Multiplayer
ones as well, The closest I got was a wagon that emediatly flips over
on it's side when the level starts.

Nothing rolls if you push it, It only inches along.

What am I missing here guys?

Barrels roll just fine, I single tire by itself will roll to, Can i
connect that tire to something and make my own or can I simply use one
of the wagon props and adjust it's entity properties to make it roll?

Uggg im about to pull my hair out on this one, If it isnt possible in
CS:S please let me know, I have spent 3 days on this one thing.

Signed,

Please help me get a wagon.

I just tried it myself, and had the same problems. So it's not your setup or anything.

You are using the wagon model, correct?

It probably is something to do with the different way CSS handles physics. But I'm just guessing, I haven't tried it in just a DM or singleplayer map. You should try that and find out.

Yea I used the Wagon prop, I also tried the luggage cart which rolls
fine in a Half-Life level but once you put it in CS:S, It will only
inches along when you push it.

Maybe it's just not possible in CS:S, I dont know....Going to keep
trying though, If i ever get it to work then I'll post the
results.....Unless someone clues me in first..

Thanks for checking it out dude.

If it doesn't move very much, then it's probably just too heavy- lower the mass scale. Put it in with a prop_physics_multiplayer making sure it's not sticking in the ground or standing on top of any other props to stop it from falling over.

as a last resort, you could tie a small brush to the base of each wheel, textured with a low friction texture. the wheels wouldn't turn, but the object should move a little easier.

Coudln't you tie the Prop_physics of the tire to the wagon with a phys_ballsocket?

CS:S has limited physics to reduce network lag. I'm not sure if this could be part of your problem. I have seem things roll though in CS:S ... like in Italy there are a couple tire props...

I know this is a year old but I'm having the same problem and I figured it was pointless to make a new thread.
Hopefully, someone knows what's wrong by now.

Here's a pic of the problem (just to clarify):

EDIT: I just tested this in HL2, I get the same error.
