So, we are doing (actually already for 1 month) a Half-Life 2 modification. Strikeback

http://strikeback.pri.ee

Register... post... monitor the site...

We are going to release the first alpha version somewhere in June. But
we are running low on mappers (actually 2 active, 2 inactive). So what
we really need are compentent mappers.

If you feel for some extra fun from your everyday hobbies (smite me  )
then you should contact me by e-mail (madedog@gmail.com), forums @
strikeback.pri.ee (or pm through there), catch me on MSN
(madedog@hotmail.com) or make a reply just here

Also... all comments about the mod are expected to strikeback forums and this thread.

(I recommend in strikeback page  )

So er... let's just hope that there will be few ones who really want to
help us... because 15 chapters of not-so-high detailed maps (we shall
add detail before beta) is quite a thing to do.

I think you need a lot more media and examples of your coders before people will be willing to map for your creation.

Also, recruiting posts don't tend to get much feedback here - and I don't think people will register on the site either. Sorry to sound rude, but it's the way it is.

You are much more likely to get help and feedback on www.moddb.com

Well then...

In the game, you play as "James Edwards". The leader of rebelion. You
are supposed to lead all the rebels to battle against Combine forces.
You travel around City 17 (and a bit on Highway) and finally arrive to
the spot where the war will broke up. About an hour of brutal killing
and hiding and strategies in the final battle.

In the meantime you will have a lot of minor and major battles, just
what makes it differing from HL2. Not a few small battles, but lot huge
ones.

The environment is just a City 17. And a bit of Highway 17, too.

Media - well... we have only finished Chapter 1, and that is probably
the shortest chapter in there, so don't excpect any media or such from
there other than just a few screenshots.

When about half a game is ready, we will make a small teaser movie. Of few places in the game.

And oh... i have already registered the mod on moddb.com, but I can't find any help from there though.

So yea... I know we need to have the mod already on the road and more
stuff to show to people, but hey - with too little people on this, we
are never going to get help before summer
