     wow, great look for SP, its been a while since i've been here, got scared because couldnt get account to work, but great job on the site! (i am starting to get back into mapping because HL2 is coming...) cya around. :biggrin:

yeah, i heard about that. Although atm Doom3 can only support 4 player matches, not quite exciteable `eh?

yea, its a desicion the team made, maybe, the engine is just not smooth with more than 4 people, or the servers will have to be WAY more powerful to support more, either way, im getting HL2 for the modding, mapping AND multiplayer (even single palyer actually), im only getting D III for single player, anyways.

Eh, 4 person multiplayer for Doom 3. Half-Life 2 will support 64 people. Can you say spam?

No, it was said that HL2 MIGHT`ive supported 64 players, but it was later released that only 32 would be supported.

The forum itself is absolutely identical, smileys changed only cus he just added them, but you could always get the smileys on that list in the show all list.

Last I heard it was 32+ players.

i haven't heard of them acctualy specifiying a number

Actually, it seems to be a pretty flexible thing, since from what I've heard, it was another design decision. I suppose the SDK would allow people to increase the limit, assuming their content(maps/models) were designed(simplified) to work better with the increased server traffic.
