Hello,

I cannot get the info_intermission entity to work as expected in my HLDM levels.

As I understand it, the info_intermission entity should act as a
camera, and after a player dies their view will be switched to that
camera if they do not re-spawn themselves immediately. The
info_intermission targets an info_target entity to set
the view angle. I have tried this several times, in several of my
maps, and it just never seems to work.

I am using VHE 3.4, compiling with the "v2.5.3 rel Custom Build 1.7p13"
compile tools, and finishing off with XP-Cagey's BSP optimizer
(although it doesn't work whether I perform that final step or not.)

Obviously this is not a level-killing problem (and I doubt I would
recompile my existing levels now to put it back in) but it is quite
frustrating that I cannot get it to work.

Any ideas?

Cheers,

Pete.

(I should also add that we're playing my levels with the pre-Steam Half-Life version 1.1.1.0 if that makes a difference.)

Info_intermission doesn't work with multiplayer.
Better to be in denial than to be human.

Bill Gates understands binary: his company is number one, and his customers are all zeros.

Well, I guess that would appear to be the case. My confusion
comes from the description of the info_intermission entity; both
VERC and RUST specifically state: "This acts as a camera view after the
player has been killed in a deathmatch game."

Oh well...
