Hi all
Worked through some of the tutorials here for the tyre swing/swinging light and after some success decided that a physics based light fitting wasn't really necessary for my map.
So, after going back to a static light prop I now realise that the standard models in props_c17 don't have cords/wiring attached as default. As a matter of interest, what does every one use as a cord for a lamp. I was planning on using one of the larger models (e.g. a pole etc) and scaling it small, but it seems like props can't be scaled (or I can't seem to find out how!)
Thanks in advance,
Deux

You can still use a rope entity, it just won't move.
Blame it on Microsoft, God does.

The only static prop I can remember (with a light cord) is models/props_wasteland/prison_lamp001a.mdl, models/props_wasteland/prison_lamp001b.mdl, & models/props_wasteland/prison_lamp001c.mdl - hope that helps.
EDIT: Or... just use a rope. Stupid me.
