Ok, ive spent a good hour making my own textures for a keypad and they are called +0zero to +0nine. They work fine. There is also +a~zero to +a~nine , by them selves they work fine and produce light...
Ok heres the annoying bit..
Im trying to make them buttons, i apply the +0zero texture to a func_button.. i press "E"... Nothing happens, why doesnt the texture change to +a~zero? Please help.
Im guessing i have to apply the texture changes to a file some where?
Btw i know my button worked as i changed the texture to +0button1 and when i pressed "E" on it the texture changed to +abutton1
Thanks!

I am not sure, but I thought the only difference between "on" and "off" was the plus and minus sign.
Perhaps you need to name them the same except for that.
Either way, all you need do is look really close at the HL1 textures and note the only difference between on and off.
I thought that the silly "~" sign went out with the qtools.
Good luck. We do have some fine texture men here they can help you for sure.
There is no history until something happens, then there is.
