Hello all. I'm new to this forum, but have been mapping for a while. I began with Hammer 3 and HL, then after playing HL2, wanted to try mapping with Source. It's been quite some time, so I'm really having to relearn a lot of stuff. One thing that's confusing is when I open Hammer, my 3D window has a small title bar in the upper left corner that says "Camera". The three 2D windows used to have titles in their upper left corners, but in this new version of Hammer, they are missing. I have used the scroll bars to move the grids all the way up and left, but still no titles. When I view tutorials, the screenshots show title bars in the upper left corner of each 2D view. What am I missing, or is there a way to get them to appear? I've checked other forums and did a search before posting. Still can't find anyone with a similar problem. Everything works correctly, it's just nice to have an instant orientation title in the three 2D views. Thanks in advance for any assistance...

Your missing nothing. The recent SDK update made it so the window
titles are on auto hide (just mouse over the corner and they will
appear).

If you are bent out of shape over this you can make your own
independent window configuration bu going to tools--->options. And
in the "General" tab you can go to "Window Setup" and check "use
independent window configurations". This will allow you to make your
camera/top/side/front views as large/small as you want. This will show
the titles (up in the top top bar of each window).

TBH I didn't really notice the change, nor do I really care because I
dont need to know what window im working in, I mean if Im
transformong a brush along a certain axis (say the x-axis) you know NOT
to look in the camera window, or top view (well maybe, btu say only a front/side wiew will help), so you look in the
side and front, its either one of these two, so I just play around till
I find what what window I need to work in. Eventually it just became second nature
to me, and the names of the windows were not important to me any longer
