ok i got fed up of having half my map disapering and turning black with short xxx surfaces runing along the top of my screen, so i changed my video to Direct3D, normally this just causes a kalydascope effect where was normally the black void, untill i upped the max visable distants in my map, it worked wonderfully, untill i went to change maps then i got the blue screen of death complaining about a video device driver error ...
this computer is less then a year old has 1000+ mb of memory a 2gb cpu and a NVIDIA Geforce 6200LE, so why the feck should it blue screen me when changing maps in HL/Op4 ???

sounds more like a device driver problem than an editing one.

i can think of a dozens of uless comments i could put in reply to tht lol, but yea it is some kind of device problem, the problem is there shouldnt be a problem, i mean it runs the new starship troopers game ok, ok it could be better when u set of the plasma rocket, but this is the first time time ive had this problem, and i cant use openGL as tht just makes the video jumpy, and kinda like 'lagging'... when im the only one on it . tut lagging right  .
my drivers are all up2 date, as i said there shouldnt be a problem with it yet there is. if i can find the error files tht it put on my comp somewhere ill post any thing tht might be usfull maybe it will make sense to 1 of u guys
