Some things only seem to happen when you least expect it.

Science and Industry one of my favourite mods ever (alhough I never got to play it as much as I should) is getting an update! After all these years. I thought hardly anyone plays it anymore but often enough when checking for servers you find a nice (well the nice) server with many loyal players on it. No other teamplay mod brings gameplay that actually focuses on the team aspect so much.

There's also a part 2 in the making.

I read about S&I a couple of years ago or something (back in the day when I had no broadband if I remember correctly!). Seemed like a cool mod. I probably should give it a try sometimes.
What the Snarkpitters listen to!

Awsome, i played that a bunch when it came out, unfortunalty i stopped playing it a long time ago, maybe i'll re install it when the update arrives.

I think it's verry cool that the mod team is bringing out an update after such a long time, for all those loyal players. What a reward for them.

I think the team always put gameplay over mass-appeal. That means if items or game mechanics weren't understood, instead of removing or stupifying them with the next release they tell newbies to RTFM. Many people dropped because of their inability to read.

But the core players I remember fom many years ago are still there and kinda keep the mod alive in a way it's remarkable.

Oh, and btw: RTFM!
It's a fun read, honestly. One of the best manuals I've ever seen.

I played this with dial-up in 2001. Very good mod, but suffers from the lack of players who know what they're doing.
