That's strange, I thought it only does that when the pixels aren't small enough to actually display that resolution.
The monitor might need some adjusting on the DVI channel? There seems to be more and more complex OSD interfaces now days, so the answer could very well be there.
It doesn't sound like a software thing at all, since you can do it on another connector. It'd most likely act globally if it were.
To note, I switched from VGA to DVI on this monitor and I notice no difference, sadly.
Now that I think about it, that is a BIZARRE resolution for a 16:10 monitor to display at, since that's a 5:4 ratio. Very strange.
Blame it on Microsoft, God does.
