It looks OK, though the turret's proportions are a little off - it's a little flat. Imagine that 3 humans are supposed to fit inside there (albeit not very comfortably :heee: ).

who wants to see my new AUG model?
I don't see the point in asking this, as it's up to you whether you post it or not.

Some advice on presenting your models:
-People like to see wireframe renders, it gives us more to give feedback on.
-The white background can be irritating to look at on the black backround of this site, I recommend a middle gray or neutral color.
-You might want to add a border, your name, your web address if you have one, it improves the overall impression the image makes. You spent the time to create the models, why not spend the (comparatively small) time to make a decent presentation for your artwork?

The rifle looks good, the bolt needs some work though. Look up some photos of bolt action rifles for reference.

It looks like there are a lot of wasted polys on the wheels of the tank, if you simplify those you'll have more headroom to add detail to areas people would be more likely to notice. There is a lot of "missing" surface detail on the main body. Again, photo reference will help a lot here.

Some great first models, you seem to have a knack for this! What software are you using?

Have some patience. We're not here to cater to your needs and you're wearing out your welcome fast.

Edit: Sorry,

I misunderstood, considering what you said in english before switching to dutch and portuguese (??) I figured the reason was to say not so nice things. Paint me ignorant, I used google translate and I apologize for being terse.

The short answer: add more detail.

The less short answer: More detail means more polygons. Your mesh has a lot of wasted polygons, vertices that aren't doing anything. If you get rid of those you can add more detail to areas that need them and keep the model within reasonable poly limits.

You're doing this...

while this is just as effective and saves a lot of polys.

Holy hell i was HORRIBLE at modeling back then, just the mere thought that my 'tank' was 7 thousand polies makes me cringe inside...

Oh gawd, this is a perfect opportunity for me to advertise my ak 74!

As a fellow gamer, I know you know it's not 74, but I'd love to hear your reason why.

Anywho... The model looks pretty good. For a pretty popular model, I'd say you've fit the mold, at least from this side. I've never fired or handled a real one, but based purely from video games, It seems what you have here is passable for an AK.

If I were you, I'd be working on some kind of UT-style weapon instead :p

Well, are you sure you aren't thinking of the stubby little ak 74su? Because really the 47 and 74 are completely different beasts :/

Then again i have never seen, held, touched or etcetera a ak in real life, only in... well, games obviously :P

Oh right, i didn't give the other images?

Well i have stuff like the bolt, the (partial) inside, but i did not model any inside parts, only 'holes' for stuff like the barrel, the magazine, and the bolt.

But yeah, long story short, i do have stuff on the other side, and the bottom. :P

Hellz no, i hate ut, and i prefer guns that shoot bullets, not 'LAZERZ'... :P

Ah, I see now. Well I learned something today; I didn't know about the ak74, nor could I recall an instance where I've used one in-game, but now I'll have to be more watchful of that. :teach: Thanks.

I'm no authority on guns whatsoever, but I like what I see. It looks detailed enough for a world model, but as a view model for the screen, I imagine you'll be adding in some more details? -Like perhaps polygons for the ridges along the magazine, or the release button on the receiver part. Or protrusions along the foregrip piece. Either way, it's looking pretty good.

Well it's not even close to complete yet, i haven't even made the saftey lever :P

But yeah, will be adding details.

I suppose, didn't really have that in mind tbh.
or the release button on the receiver part.
I think you mean the safety lever? Or actually what releases the magazine, I've already modeled that out :P
Or protrusions along the foregrip piece.
Hell no, HUGE waste of polygons and it'd be a pain in the ass to uv map.

Then again it just looks like 'another ak model' without the defined edges unique to the 74. :/
