Map Description

From Concept art to ful-fledged gory goodness StrikePoint comes to you. A medium sized map with a full arsenal of weapons, and night time mischif. The Inner layout of the map is kind of plain but made purposly for the playing of me and my friends at our LAN's.

The computer room has a keyboard activation that will call an airstrike on the outside sectors of the map. You can take protection in the bunker over in the corner of the map.

There is orange colored lighting in the basement garage level and the bottom of the bunker. The outside is suspsoed to be dark liek night time perhaps I will brighten the light post then.

Looks great 5/5, but how are you able to view it in that manner, where can I get that program?

alien sniper those do have the 255 setting ot them its just viewing them in that program. Ferret i wasent trying to make a super amazing map, I had a plan of just like a crate yard and like a military style base, I wanted alot of fighting and I wanted to control the fighting by an airstrike, wasent susposed to be anything spectacular. I mean to all of youthanks for your contructive critisism but the plainness of the map is pretty much how i wanted it. I can make maps with uber detail and cool textures [ if i somehow get my hands on some ] but this project was just to have a map that would be a blast to play at my college LAN parties.

eh, I dont really like it tbh. You can come up with some good halflife architecture with simply the textesua and theme. You dont have to basic and spamming the crates.

Awesome use of that truck prefab in the background of pic2. The map gets my two thumbs up just because of it's use.

It looks rather nice for what it is, but it could use some variation. As A_S said some varied lighting might help, but I'd suggest going to www.gamedesign.net/prefabs and look for a cargo container prefab that has either yellow or green colored textures, i forget which. That'll help ad some variation.

[EDIT] ack, where did the site go? I don't know if that prefab is available at www.ejoop.com/prefabland/ oh well

Have your func_walls 'solid' and '255'.

It looks decent with the hl textures, but by your own admission it's somewhat basic.

I'd have the glass a little more transparent. Add some outdoor lights for detail and lighting variation.
