Counter Strike CS_Cabaret

Background Story: Terrorists have taken control of the Uptown Cabaret gentlemens club in the commercial district. While most of the clients got out safely during the initial chaos, 3 civilians remain inside. Its up to the Counter-Terrorists to safely extract the hostages to safety using lethal force against the terrorists if need be.

Installation:
-Follow the instructions in the ReadMe.txt and youll be fine.

Known Issues:
-Because of a bspzip problem (wav's dont bspzip properly), the custom sounds for the map must be installed manually in order to work. Just install the folders according to the readme.

-If you want to run this map on your server and have clients download it, you need to download the .bz2 file. Put the entire .bz2 (dont extract anything) into the cstrike/maps folder on the server. Clients will download a compressed version of the map instead of the full .bsp file. Its even faster if you have an http redirect linking to it. The .bz2 is neccessary if you want clients to download the map off the server.

SERVER ADMINS: Get the bz2 at http://www.alexroyce.com/maps/cs_cabaret.bsp.bz2

-Players who download this map off a server will most likely be missing the custom sounds.

-Using bloom instead of HDR might cause the map to look really bright.

This Is one of my finer maps This also is going to be my first public map aswell so i hope i live upto expectations.

This map was based on the idea of two trains running through the middle and the cts having to rescue the hostages while avoiding oncoming trains. This map started out as utter crap but now it has grown. Im shooting for good detail and good gameplay.

While making this map i abandoned it once but then decided to continue. The updates i have done make it a much better map imo

Counter Strike de_sacrelige

de_sacrelige is already the most popular map I've made. It was featured on the front page of CS-Nation when released, as well as a few other prominent CS sites.

Like most of my maps, this has a lot of vertical gameplay along with horizontal (so you are looking up and down as much as left and right).

While there is only one actual bombsite, it is situated at the top of an ancient temple such that it can be planted on the roof or the floor right below.

While small, the layout is complex enough to give the Terrorists many routes to the bombsite.

This map is in a comlpete overhaul cos i lost the rmf si it will take me a while to remake it what with every thing else im doing but it will get there

This is my first ever map and took me about an hour all together. The only thing to mention is that its very good fun 10 v 10. Quick deathmatch map for your server.

Development, if it can even be called that, stopped sometime in the spring of 2004. Nothing to see here, move along.

My first attempt at mapping was to recreate my house from memory, and then turn it into a hostage rescue map for CS. Obviously, after putting some time into it I realize my house would never be a great place for a hostage rescue scenario. So, I stopped work on it. However, I wanted to add it to my maps because I feel like its my first attempt at a fully realized environment/level.

Update: Postponed indefinitely, will definitely port over to CS:S as soon as I find time this summer.

My first real attempt at a CS map for HL1. CT's spawn outside in a verdant canyon, and have to make their way into a sinister looking government facility that has been infiltrated by Terrorists. I'm proud of the architecture and texture lighting, but there were many areas of the base yet to be completed.

So far I have only made the bridge for my map , but here is a short story about my map. The terorrists are planning to blow up a relic of a nearby continent and it is a very historic bridge fought on during the war and it means alot to the country that it belongs to , the counter-terorrists must stop these terorrists from blowing up this bridge. The Counter-Terorrists start in a desolate jungle and have to make their way to bridge but so do the terorrist (so that its not to easy) I plan to put in many hiding positions around the bridge for sniper support , aswell as much stuff to take cover behind as you move towards the center of the bridge to plant the bomb , the terorrists start of at a near by river bank not to far from the bridge just as the Counter-Terorrists do. (So far my maps bridge is in testing stage but im having a problem with the Run command to make my map a .bsp to test it.) help would be appreiciated.

It's just a map of my old High School... I made some textures of the complex so I will put them on-line, so others con download it and use them.
