okey, im at a lan party right now, and have a problem with someone - whenever they start a half life server, or try to join a half life server, the game crashes to the desktop - we've tried chjanging video modes... He has overclocked the hell out of his pc, which he admits f**ks up halo, could it do this with half life ?
we've applied all the latest patchs, too.

i have run a few lans, and if you have not got the tcp/ip right it will screw up..
try slowing his video hardware acceleration down, that screwed me up once upon a time too..
