you remember on highway 17 when you're driving the jeep down the tunnel, and all you see is white, and what looks almost like a sprite, then you get there and it fades away and your "eyes adjust" to the light.
same effect was at the end of ravenhome when you exit the cave.
How do you do this?

might be a func_areaportal ... not sure though. I'd check but my steam stuff is all screwed up AND "steam servers are too busy to process your request" ... :rolleyes:

It's an env_lightglow.Set it at the entrance of the tunnel, and set the Vertical Size to 100 and the Horizontal Size to 200.
Set the Minimum Distance to 50 and the Maximum Distance to 1000 or higher.
Now change the "Yaw" so that the entity is facing inwards toward the tunnel.
Then go to the flags and checkmark "Visible only from front".

Open the sdk resources folder, and open the map with that tunnel in hl2, and see how to do it. Many of the hl2 maps are in there.
