I'm pretty shure most of you have already seen many google ads on the
Internet, but I decided to check out more info on this. It
appears that Google is the only site on the web interested in making
the web more user friendly while droppin the strain on banner
adds. I mean, their type of adds are just text and fit about
anywhere. Not only that, but you can easily sign up to host text
ads on your site or support a google search bar that counts the ads in
the search results as your ads.
https://www.google.com/adsense/?hl=en_US&sourceid=aso&subid=us-et-ads

I want to know what your thoughts about Google's new (I know it at least 2 years old now) dominance on advertising.
You know, I've actually got nothing to say

I don't mind the Google ads. They're easy to ignore. It's
the stupid ads that make lots of noise, or fly across your screen
*cough*ebaums*cough* that really piss me off.

They're not only easy to ignore, I often find them providing relevant
information that I wouldn't have found without them. I'm positive to
all things google.

Ditto. Everytime I see one of those goddamned floating ads I block that
entire site, just to make sure I don't ever give them any clickthru
revenue, even accidentally. Of course getting AdBlock with the
Piercieve filterset helps without any of the pain.

I should have been more clear, I was actually refering to your thoughts
on actually signing up and using the service on your web pages.

I mean I've actually been to some forums where people actually have
google ads in their signatures. Such as the forums at
www.l2jextreme.com <-- which by the way is an excellent Lineage 2
server emulator, don't dis the emulator please, they really worked hard.
You know, I've actually got nothing to say

If I had a site of some kind, and decided to use ads, I'd probably choose google ads in most cases.

Don't think you'd earn any significant amounts on it though.

I can already imagine people on forums with page-long sigs containing more than 100 different ads. :heee:

The ads in signatures must somehow violate the terms of service...

But I use Adsense on my site and I quite like it, easy to use and unobtrusive (havnt made much money but thats cause i dont get many visitors (hint hint  ))
