model question

i've been making some models recently for a space shooter plugin that a friend has been writing. little spaceships that you can fly around and shoot at other little spaceships type of thing. when you hit one of them, it is meant to give a brief red glow



but for some reason, some of the models dont glow properly. it's as if the additive effect has been removed from the glow, and is rendered solid black instead.



this has happened with almost half the models i've made, and even though i fixed it on most by messing around with the model in milkshape and recompiling it, i still don't know exactly what i did that made the difference.

anyone help?

i didnt check the link so if this is already solved im sorry my only guesses would be to double check the code make sure there are no mistakes there and also to check everything out on the model the .qc and want not i dont know to much about modeling but im trying.
