Hello, I created a prefab, combine turret, and it works quite well by the player and npcs. Anyway, I want to attach this to an elevator, so the player, while on the lift, can still use the turret. Well, right now, the turret and its base just slide off the moving platform. I tried parenting the turret to the elevator but that would mess up the turret and make it unuseable. I also tried using phys_constraint to tie in the gun and elevator together but then the elevator would not move at all!
could anyone help me?

i had the same problem trying to constrain a turret to a phy object, never did figure it out sorry.
but please post if you find a solution i need that to...

I'm guessing that if you'd need a model, like as if it'd be a car with a turret mounted atop of it.
I've never come across any other way to do it.

My guess is that it's a code problem, that such turrets simply weren't made to be parented - which would explain why when you parent it to an elevator, the elevator doesn't move anymore. Notice that in the entirety of HL2, the gun turret positions have always been static.
