Hello every one,
I am haveing trouble with water, first i made my displacment, its just a curved surface. After that I put a rectangle of nodraw on the displacement, then i put a water texture on top of the nodraw, with the texture app. tool, then I put a cubemap on it, and a water lod control on it two. it looks fine in hammer but, when I test the map the water does not show up, and every thing in the water dosnt show up eather.
ANy help would be awsome.

Displacements don't block VIS. This means that they don't seal your map and you are experiencing a leak. To fix this, place a NODRAW brush underneath your displacement so it connects with the other walls and everything should be good.
Make sure everything connects correctly, then recompile.

just to clarify. water does that when a map has a leak.
