In the first chapter of H-L 2 where Barney takes off his helmet how is it achieved?
My immediate idea was ".vcd" but I looked with Gfscape in the "Half-Life 2 content" package and I found the .vcd files after and before he had removed his helmet but not the actual helmet removing process.
How is this process achieved? And more importantly, if it's not, how can we achieve it?
It is quite a versitile scene and would fit well for a map idea I have.
EDIT: I forgot to mention, I've picked apart the .vmf file "d1_trainstation_01" and I just cannot find the relevent entities for Barney to perform the scene.
It's so very jumbled up with everything that I simply cannot tell what's what.
It was my original idea to simply extract the entity setup from the .vmf but that seems abit beyond my capabilities.
Someone else could try though :biggrin:
UPDATE: Okay dudes, well it seems like there is a scripted sequence (which could be used in a .vcd file) for Barney removing that monstrocity of a helmet but I looked at the two helmet models and they don't have any sequences like "in Barney hand" or "Barney_remove".
So really all I can do so far is (theoretically) make a scripted sequence or .vcd file of Barney doing the "remove helmet" gesture but with no actual helmet pieces.
UPDATE: I have now figured out how to make Barney have his Combine helmet on. Now what I need to do is figure out someway to incorprate the prop_dynamic helmet model in the editor with the .vcd file in Face Poser.
