Start by going to brush numbers 3230 and 3720 (CTRL+SHIFT+G, I think?) and see what's going on with them...

Run a "check for problems" Alt+P that could accutally fix it for you.

I've never actually encountered this error myself, but I may be able to point you in the right direction. Your problem isn't exactly the same as the OP's, you've got the node problem, but you've also got a leak on your map.
I would start by trying to track down the leak, closing that may actually help with the problem.
When a node has an unbound volume, its volume is infinite, causing the compiler to get confused and throw the error up. It seems to be caused by manipulating the vertices of a brush. The fact you have a leak as well may mean that you moved a vert on one of your brushes that caused both errors, allowing the game world to leak into the void.
The easiest way to trouble shoot it I think would be to find the leak, and fix that first, then recompile. If the error is still there, take a look at any brushes that you changed, and you should eventually be able to track it down.

How do I track this?
I have had this problem twice before but i just delete a few objects (walls) and it was fine. I have tried deleting walls this time around and I still encounter this problem. I really have no idea what to do. I don't want to delete the whole map, or the part of the map of which i believe is wrong because that is hours of work i had spent creating. If i sent you the map, would it be possible for you to fix for me?
If so please contact me back with an email address I can contact you on. Or even better if you have an Xfire account or Ventrilo that would be fine as well.
Thanks alot!

Hahaha, Riven is on the case again!
Best off leaving me out of this this, v1be, I'm a total newbie myself! Just look at my post about texturing a tunnel, and you'll see what I mean! Next time, if you upload the map to Rapidshare or Megaupload or something similar, people can just download it and take a look without you having to fire emails off. You can pass me a copy to ritchie_brier-at-yahoo-co-uk, not promising anythign though, lol!

Yeah, I know the feeling. I jump in and out the C4DCafe quite often. If I'm working on a project, I get kinda' tunnel visioned. I'll probably be kicking around here until I get this assignment done.
It seems kinda' dead though, as do a lot of the mod forums for HL2 I've been to.

to find a leak;
map>load pointfile
loads a red line into hammer, starting at a random entity, and ending outside the map. follow the line and you'll see where it escapes, or leaks, from your level.

I have tried to do this, but my problem is that i don't have a .lin file and I have no idea how to create one.

ah, there's no .lin file because vbsp gave up before it could write one.
the unbound volume is often caused by bad brushwork that will show up when you check the map for problems (ctrl+p)

I have done ALT + P and fixed the problems except one.... which is the player start, but I have already added ct and t spawns which have worked before. After everyday I work on my map i test it out to look for any glitches or anything wrong with it, but now it just doesn't work. I have had the "WARNING: node with unbound volume" error twice before and I have gotten rid of it by deleting a couple walls, and it went away. But now I can't seem to find the wall which is preventing me to play. I have tried almost everything now and still nothing works, I really need someone trust worthy to take a look at my map for me asap, so I can get this completed. I would really appreciate it if someone could do this for me that had quite a bit of experience. THANKS!!!
