sw hw dlls

You may or may not know about the sw and hw dll's. What they do is make a blue texture (255) on a model transparent. Very useful for trees. Anyway the won version of Half-life dosen't come with these dll's and I was wondeing if anybody has got these dll's that they could share :dorky: ?

By the way, the ones from steam are not compatiable with the won half-life.

If you're trying to make blue transparent, there are other methods to do it within the working parameters of the application (slapping in random dll files will not work).

look here The "{" is the way it's always worked in HL1. If you do a bunch of digging you should be able to find the once abundant tutorials and resources regarding this type of thing.

Blame it on Microsoft, God does.

You should find the dll's you need in the most up to date, non-source versions of cs or dod, and probably lots of other hl mods.

Crono, virgin hl doesn't support transparency in models. IIRC, it was dod1.3 that introduced the feature.

Nuh its good folks. I went over to the Spirit of Half-life website and downloaded version 1.4 of the mod which included te dlls. And fishy is right to. They are included within some versions of DOD.

I have the dll's and my trees are now all sweet. :biggrin:
