i was wondering why hammer wont load the game after it compiles it? it compiles it just fine but in the console it says disconnecting user and server shutting down. it says it cant find certain things. for example...
arning: using WorldTwoTextureBlend on a non-displacement surface.
Support for this will go away soon.

It does the same to me most of the time. I would just uncheck the run after compile box. To load your map (if its in hl2) type "map" into console one space then the name of your map. map "mymap" .
Once your level gets more complicated you will want to close hammer before u start the game anyway.
