As you can see, the smaller brushes forming the arch of the doorway are discolored compared to the surrounding walls. At first I thought it was because I had made some of the arches func_walls- but changing them to world brushes didn't make a difference. And the textures are aligned across the brushes. And it isn't on all the arches, just some of them.

Any ideas? I'm hoping there's some RAD setting I don't know that will fix this. Or perhaps it's a light_environment issue? I think most of the problem arches are in rooms with windows.

Well, first thing you should do is make sure you have the latest version of zhlt, which is version 3.4, these are the most efficient tools and will do the best job on your map, if you don't have them, get them here.

Also, try rotating that brush by 180? to see if that fixes the problem, it might have something to do with world/face texture alignment.

Other than that, I can't think of anything else, you could look here and see if any of these might help.

hmm I'll try -chop tomorrow morning, that might help. I could also clone an arch that is working okay and see it that makes any difference.

I wonder if -textchop might smooth out the texture lighting around the swoosh that goes over this far doorway?
