Make them .jpg's you s**t!!! lol

Seriously though, don't be wasting your bandwith with unnecessarily huge files. Having huge files as wallpapers also slows down your computer and wastes a lump of your memory.

Double post, went to edit and hit quote. Is the delete feature still gone or is it just gone from the non-javascript posts?

They are quite cool actually, and considering the uber net connection my uni has, the filesize bothered me not a hitch  But yes, JPGs....good things so I'm told!

3 should be burnt however, that is a shoddy wallpaper if ever I saw one. Oh and I'm too attached to my sexy lady wallpapers to put up one of a mod I don't play, but thats beside the point. Some nice work there. </ramble>

Sorry about the bandwidth issue, guys.

But when converting them to JPG's, you've got some quality loss.

But I got an idea !

edit Check the post now, I posted them in my deviantart gallery ... sweet JPG's now.

Even if you convert to a huge quality JPEG, you still get a hugely significant save in filesize with barely noticable quality loss.

Myeah ... maybe I'm just too spoiled with my high-quality broadband connection.

Sorry guys, I know what it's like, I've been on 56k for 3 years.

@ Brasso. Yeah, I know. I was young. Photoshop was still far, far away. I just dug up this pile of sh!te to have a new topic on this art board.

I've been turning my favourite scantily clad ladies into wallpapers lately and I find that saving the image as a JPEG on quality 12 produces an image nigh on identical to a BMP but is still far smaller in filesize. But then I wear contact lenses, so perhaps with my poor eyesight I just don't notice the quality loss

Sometimes it's a resolution issue.

You can resize your BMP to a 800*600 JPG, and it could look fine on smaller screens, but when using the same JPG on higher resolution, it looks blurry.
