With the blue theme, the "recent forum posts" and "recent update" boxes on the front page are displayed underneath each other instead of side to side (Firefox 3).
Why snark works.

When clicking on map images on their profile pages (to open them in a new window or tab) I get only a blank page with the text: "No images available" written at the top.

Here's a link to it: http://opal.lunarbreeze.com/~snark3/pop.php?win=gallery&map=3087&num=2

Mini-error:

Probably, when there are 4n+1 maps, there is an empty last page when viewing the 4 thumbnails for maps in the user profiles.

Example:

http://opal.lunarbreeze.com/~snark3/index.php?p=viewprofile&uid=3705&c=1
(click "next page" and it's empty)
Why snark works.

Yeah, there are some issues developing due to the changes I'm making with the various new features.

Fixed that, and also fixed the 'view all maps by this user' link, which didn't work because of the new map landing page.. so fixed that too :p

Good spotting anyway!

If you select the new 'Journal' option from the control panel tab it brings you to a blank page of the control panel. But you can still select the actual 'journal' tab to get to the journal page.

Another error. So I sent a new user here to try and register on this new version of the SnarkPit, and he said that after filling in the info for the registration page, and entered the security code, it claimed it did not match after he submitted it. So I tried for myself and discovered the same thing. I attempted it about 15 times. The security code refuses to match for whatever reason. If anyone else wants to try it and let us know if it worked for you too, then that might help.

-Just a heads up, since I don;t think anyone can even register on the old Pit whatsoever. We haven't had a new member in 7 weeks! It just brings them to a white blank page. Might want to temporarily fix that until we can move here.

I've just tried it and registered half a dozen accounts (deleted all but this one). Only time I got a security code mismatch was when I confused a 0 with a D

Well, I tried it again and this time took some screen shots.

Unless my eyes deceive me, all 3 of these attempts should have been correct, but clicking submit only refreshed the page and told me the security code did not match :(

added a message output when you submit the form that tells you what the correct code was and what the script registered you entered - try submitting a few values and see if they match (dont worry about the name/password/email fields)

Bug (sort of): When you are in the control panel, and click something like Snarkmarks, you can't easily go back to the control panel itself.
It would be cool to have a "return" button there.

Yeah I think you're right about returning to the first page of a tab being tricky... simple solution, I've changed selected tabs so that they remain as clickable links, so you can always go back to a tab's main page.

CTRL+F5 to refresh your stylesheets if the links suddenly appear as unstyled :)

Also, new accounts automatically get a random avatar now... but it wasn't being assigned correctly. More fix0ring :D

And new bug found: when you click a profile's user name, like mine, the numbers are one paragraph (if that's the right word) too high.

For example, after Website it says "Mar 24th 2009" but that should be after "last seen"

What browser are you using to view this site with?

Come to think of it, there should probably be a plate at the bottom of every page saying: "This site best viewed in FireFox"

So I uploaded a test map under the game: Left 4 Dead and while it uploaded properly, I had to post a mirror even though I selected the 'Beta' option. it wouldn't let me click submit unless I uploaded some map file. So instead, I just put a link to my website in the mirrors section and it let me click the submit option then. I thought we made it so that if you select 'beta' option, you aren't required to upload any map file, just an image?

Anyhow, it uploaded fine, but it's listed as the only L4D map under that game (which is also a 'featured game' on the map's front page. But under doesn't list that one map (although clicking it brings you to a filtered screen with the map included. -So the map is uploaded into the DB, and sorted and whatnot, but still not showing up on the map's front page? -What's the criteria to have a map appear there? -I thought it was any map under that game randomly selected?

-Map upload bars worked fine! :hee:

Yeah the backend is half finished m8, sorting it now.

A map needs to have had at least one rating before showing up. Not sure why, but there was probably some reason for it. It's just a small change to the SQL query to alter the behaviour though.

Selecting a map in your control panel 'edit profile' page to be your new 'featured map' does not apply it as such in your profile (or at least it didn't for me after 3 tries).

Hmm I think that's actually an orphaned feature! You should be able to control the order of the maps using the 'featured maps' section on the top right of the edit profile page.

The select box for a featured map was made redundant when I added that new system... think it just hadn't been removed!

Thanks, I'll take a look at it, sounds like an issue with the new flash uploader.

If you go to the edit map page the old-style form is still there so you can get the file uploaded for your map.

I don't know if it's a bug or not, but on the beta version of the site, the images for the map spotlights were set to load randomly from their assortment. Now they load the same images every time. I liked that feature, can you bring it back? -or if it's a bug, 'fix' it? I like it so far for the latest maps area on the right!

I don't know if it's a bug or not, but on the beta version of the site, the images for the map spotlights were set to load randomly from their assortment. Now they load the same images every time.... I like it so far for the latest maps area on the right!
I made the change for the latest maps a while ago, but I never coded it in for the latest maps - it's always been that way m8!

I changed it for the latest maps and was just waiting to see if anyone mentioned it before applying it elsewhere... can add it for the spotlight no problem!

That php error on the map pages is an issue I'm now aware of - I haven't fixed it but have hidden the error message.

When i try to login, it says something went wrong. I then try again and it's working.

This happends everytime and i didn't make spelling errors in my username or password.

A feature that let's you stay online would be nice too though.

Hmmm, strange, I'll let Larchy or someone else help you on that one, works fine for me and I stay logged in also.

Anyway, I'm having problems changing my avatar, it won't change.

Edit:

It seems it will let me upload this animated gif image but whenever I try and upload my proper avatar (jpeg, 128x128, 19kB) it reverts to an older one I used to have (same thing but with a Christmas hat).
