This is a a discussion topic for the map "ba_stadium" by willow which can be found here

Map description:

Ba_stadium is a map I created to be based around a series of maps I plan to released called Battle Arena maps. Basically they're small maps with plenty of cover to be played by opposing teams. I don't reallly consider them a fy or dm map, but more of an aim map that actually plays well. I'd compare the play of the map to playing speedball with paintguns. Plenty of cover provides an enjoyable game, as well as promotes positive team play. Anyways, this is it, this map is it's 2nd rendetion and will have it's third and final one released soon.

Use "trim" textures to split of big faces like the walls round the edges, and add some different interesting architecture.

Replace the texture of the wall with something that has a more contrast to the texture of the ceiling and floor.

Add an arch and columns to the surrounding walls. I can see how you want to optimize gameplay, but the aesthetics is important also.

By the way, do you have cubemaps in your map?

Hmm sounds like a clan training map to me , though not as bad as some of the others... You probably would want to put it up on a clan site , as its not particuallarly asthetic

Yes there are cube maps in it, and as you said aesthetics are important, keep in mind this is not it's final version, this is play testing version, so I can optimize flow of gameplay and how the map plays before I sexify up the visuals.

As for the comment about clan training map, not really, however I do plug my clan in it, it's just made to be a fun little map to have some shootouts on, to break the grind of playing constant serious maps in CS:S.

This is a Great map.. It has grown in popularity with CS players.. it can fill most servers up pretty quick. Remember these guys are speaking from a mapping perspective, and not much else. It plays fine. The biggest complaint I hear is the Spawn Campers, Maybe add a time delay that would close a door to each spawn and begin a bomb countdown. If they stay in the spawn they get blown up.. or a button in the center of the map, that players could push to get that effect.

The Map could be a bit prettier... but it plays well just as it is. ( Its a great change from DUST & Aztec all the time ) 8 out of 10.
