AAHH!!!
Yes! thats what I have been saying for the past 2 days, this is a cry for help. All im asking for someone is to hold my hand and show me the way one step at a time on steam, my question is about ofcourse, reskinning an existing model that valve made I know how to do it, BUT IT DOESN'T WANT TO WORK

I wrote a tutorial on this here.

I don't know, I have a feeling the tutorial is a bit messy..

Tried it, some of those tools dont work, I know the fix, but the recompiler doesnt work out right. Theres another on interlopers but uses the same tools and I did try what they did, I also tried wonderboys GUI recompiler and that STILL didnt work, i messed with the model a little... So if anyone could help me lol that would be awesome.

i dont use any of those tools i just use studiomdl as is.
but i would say since this is a base hl2 model i would make sure the directory tree is right

but just for the hell of it post your qc here

--IF you're just retexturing it, why not just replace the vtf? or are you trying to add selectable skins to the model?

Can you post your QC and the compile log from studiomdl?
