Today over half my bookmarks don't work ( not including here ), I was scratching my head and then I ran across this

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/technology/8176014.stm

Telus is known for bad routing, ie I trace to a California server from Vancouver via NYC, and now I'm starting to think they've really lost it. Anybody else having strangeness from this?

Strange.

What sites do not work for you, for example?

well the issue has resolved itself by this morning. Perhaps it was just a local thing. But I've been looking into different ISP's here and they all use the same local infrastructure except for cable, so these things are probably gonna happen no matter what DSL I use I guess...

Some of the sites that were failing were yahoo.ca, speedguide.net, imageshack, photobucket...youtube would only load plain text. Snarkpit and steampowered were fine

Well, it's happening less frequently now, but I always thought of random internet black-outs as quite a common issue. If it happens again and frequently, switch ISP?

yeah everythings been OK for 2 days so I'm doubting a virus. "OK" being a relative term, game connections are garbage, high choke everywhere. I would love to switch ISP's, I found a local one that offers double speed for same price, but only in new apt. buildings :(

My house and it's service connections are 65 years old, I'm surprised the phone even works on this old copper half the time
