This is a thread for Courtyard, my latest snarkpit competition entry which I didn't get a chance to finish. I plan on using mostly custom content for this so if you see any default content it's probably going to be replaced with custom content later. ;)

Here are some before (top) and after (bottom) shots of the interior:

Nice changes, man. So,is it going to be a vista scene like before or are going to add some gameplay in it?

Hmm, are you sure about the red? It's a small claim, but without blowing up the images, that's what first stands out to me. Are there going to be other parts that will have noticeable blood-red colors (hint) as part of their color scheme?

I mean the red as part of your new wall textures (in all the after shots). It's meant to contrast against all the gray, but I don't see the red in any other facet of the scenes so therefore I don't think it's complementing anything. But like I said nothing but nit-pick here :D .

Yea, it comes off as very red to my eyes. -Really this isn't as big a deal as I'm making it out to be.

I retextured the ceiling and floor and gave the floor a bit of depth. Basically before the ceiling was darkish and the floor was white and now that's been reversed. I think I like it this way better but will make my own white ceiling texture similar to the default one I used that can be seen in the screenshot.

Next on the list is to model my own rubbish bin to replace the default green one I used and model a light fixture that would fit this futuristic interior better.

Ok finished modeling the rubbish bins and the new light fixture. Hopefully I can be finished with the interior before Christmas but I doubt it I still have a fair bit to do. :uncertain:

The new models look nice!

But I agree with Muhnay, the new floor isn't jiving with me. It just comes across as dinky. -Like a bad joke. It's a neat idea, but save it for something more important, not a 'standard' hallway.
