Man, I didn't even play the first one, and that trailer sent chills down my spine. It looks like it's gonna be a good game. I wish I had more time to play RPGs, but if I did, then I wouldn't have any time left to map :leper:

(Re-writing this post since it somehow failed the last time)

Another trailer for both Mass Effect's here, made by my brother:

Riven: That's true probably, but this game is probably gonna be SO great, that you'll even forget about the existence of mapping while playing :D

the first one was excellent, it took the storyline typology of the KOTOR series and finally added a decent combat type that was actually founded in your personal skill level. Though I hope they gave more inspiration to follow the side missions than achievements to be honest. I also wish I had money and could afford and sweet game that hit the market.

I watched a dev commentary where they mentioned sidequests, apparently they play a much bigger role in me2, since you will have to level your character and shape your squad (both through leveling and some role playing) to be able to do the final parts of the game. So the sidequests are more than just exploring planets with a press of a button, and they will play a much bigger part of the main storyline, supposedly filling some plot/story holes, it looked like they were similar to mmorpg sidequests, some of them being short and easy, but others being several hours long with some ok looking combat.
