I am trying to find an old (probably dos) game, that I always used to play in the past when I was young.

It is about 4 players: Blue, Red, Yellow and Green, and their mission is to bring an orb to a certain destination. I believe each player has a destination with the same color, although they CAN bring the orb to other destinations, but doing so will reward you with less points.

The game takes place in some sort of box, which the players can rotate by standing on certain buttons on the floor.

That is the multiplayer part. There is also a single-player mode where you get to control 1 player.

I've been trying to find this game for a very long time now.
I've also made a topic on dosgames' forum but there is no reply yet.

As a multiplayer DOS game, I'm guessing it's turned-based and playable only on one computer? That is, each player would have to take turns playing the game on the same machine?

I'm trying to think back to my first-grade computer lab games we used to play...

Thanks for the reply, both my brother and I are trying to find this game.

It's not turn based, and I am not exactly sure if it's a dos game, since the graphics were pretty good (I'm pretty sure it had 3D graphics).
But yeah, if you want to play with friends you have to do so on the same computer.

We had the game from a Demo CD-Rom including these games:
  • Rayman
  • Worms
  • Cool Spot
  • Zone Raiders
  • Destruction Derby
  • Indycar
  • Earthworm Jim
  • Jazz Jack Rabbit
  • Death Rally
  • Megaman
  • Another one I don't know
Thanks for helping

Wow I remember worms! In fact I still play worms 2 every once in a while.

Apparently Riven is not up to snuff about IPX and DOS :P I used to play a cheesy lil game "Netwars" back in high school some 14 years ago. (good god I am getting old)

I loved it, but the computer science teacher didn't, haha! good old DOS 5.0 :flail:
As for the game you described in the original post, it sounds familiar but no name comes to mind.

Also he knows his history about game engines.

Quick question, what kind of color scheme(s) would you say the game had?

Also was it top down, or that other camera type I can't seem to remember the name of (where every thing is from a side and sky perspective)?

What is a color scheme exactly? Sorry if that's a stupid question :azelito:

I can't remember exactly. I think the camera was like this:

It also shows how the rotation works like.

Hehe there goes my bizzare terminology again :geek: .

Example: A red color scheme would be one that stays mostly with dark/medium/light red to make up the artwork.

So then the magic question is: does the game have a mostly purple color scheme?
If so, I may know what game you're talking about.

Edit: nevermind I looked more closely at your depiction of the player's veiw, and I think we're thinking of different games.
(I Think there may be a accidental joke in there)

Well I could be a little wrong about the view, so what game did you have in mind? Every suggestion is welcome!

I honestly cannot remember the color scheme, sorry.

Also did you mean I made an accidental joke?

No I meant I was making a accidental joke actually (highlighted by italicized text). Oh and also, the game I found is called Four Orbs, it was on an old cd I have called Arcade Master by eGames.

Ah, glad you finally figured it out! :cowjump:

Twisted Metal was a great game I remember I played it quite a lot back in the day.
