(Pressed "TAB" while writing my post and it posted ....)
Hi Everyone,
I haven't posted here in several years. I just recently started playing Half life 1 again. I'm interested in setting up a dedicated steam server to run several of my maps that I made in the past. First I would like to figure out how to get my non-steam content to work with Half Life on steam. I have installed steam and Half life 1 steam but don't see where I can dump my content files. I'm sure I need the SDK but I don't know which one to get, there seems to be several available on steam. Any help would be great, thanks.

I have made a few small maps recently to play here at the house on our LAN but I had installed pre steam half life. Now I'm interested in setting up a server to run my maps on steam but I can't seem to find the right information on how to convert my old material (or sort my old material to the correct locations) in order to run them on steam. I have found plenty of information on configuring hammer to build for steam so I don't think that will be an issue, just getting the old stuff to play right on steam. Thanks.

So are you asking where the skyboxes/sounds/maps go?
Or are you asking if there have been any changes(new entities/styles or even standards) to Half-life mapping because of Steam?

Just to be helpful:
Skyboxes go into .../Steam/steamapps/useraccount/half-life/valve/gfx/env
(I always hated the lack of a "skyboxes" folder)
Gamestartup.mp3 (I like to use a custom one) .../Steam/steamapps/useraccount/half-life/valve/media
Those should be the only non-selfexplanatory folders.

I got them to work, thanks everyone. Now I'm looking into HLDS so I can get a server launched. I'll start a new thread if I have any questions.
