This is a a discussion topic for the map "Realms" by Necromancer which can be found here

Map description:

This map series was inspired by the Portal games. This is a Half-Life map series in the style of Portal, but using the HL editor. When I first started this mapping project I wasn't sure if it would even be possible to use HL1 to make Portal like maps, but I was very surprised by the results...and I think you will be too. Enjoy!

You must make it through each of the tests. After progressing through seemingly endless tests you start to wonder if you will ever be able to get out of the testing area. Can you get out or will you be testing forever?

This looks neat! I wish I had come up with this idea as well haha.

Is this map finished? I don't see a download link

This map is not finished yet. I have 3 tests completed and am getting ready to start the fourth. However, it will probably be a while before it is completed though.

New screenshot uploaded: Blue Mobility Gel and a tube dispenser. The Half-Life engine can do some amazing things when you know what you are doing! :hee:

Ah no that's all right! Take your time, it's just that your description made me think it was finished.

I think I once saw a video of all the types of gel in the HL1 engine. Yeah, the engine can do a lot indeed :)

Good luck on the map

It has been a while since I worked on this series but I thought I would let everyone know of the current progress.

So far I have a total of 4 tests finished, started test 5, and have finished a basic hub map, so that I can easily add possible future expansions.

I think when I get the time I will finish test 5 and then I will post it as sort of a test to see how the mapping community receives, and then based off that then I may release (at some point) additional tests.

My classes and work have been very demanding on my time lately so I am not sure when I will be able to finish this (or my other in progress maps) but I will try to get them going again. Especially whenever I get some vacation time! Thanks for your interest!

Also, just a reminder that this is a puzzle based game and does not contain combat.
