This is a a discussion topic for the map "WAD Support Pack" by Necromancer which can be found here

Map description:

It has been brought to my attention that several of my maps that I have posted do not have the required wad files. (This is due to a misunderstanding with the editor) and I thought that it would be best just to post a support pack that contains these wad files instead of reposting my other maps. There are instructions included.

This file contains possible missing wad(s) files for any of the maps posted by Necromancer. This is a support file for you to be able to play these maps if you have any problems with textures. See the description for more info.

I know this isn't a map, but it goes with my maps and as it is over 6 MB I couldn't post it in downloads. I thought that everyone who have been having troubles will be very appreciative. I don't think anyone would be upset and I hope this solves all of the missing wad problems. Enjoy! :D

Just curious...
Hows come you didn't wadinclude?
I don't think anyone has had separate wads in their files for 10 years now.

The best things in life, aren't things.

The reason is because inisde of Hammer I check the map information to see what wads are used in the map so I just included those. Then I just find out about a week ago or so that if you compile maps with the wads set in your editor's texture list then the game will look for those wads wether they are actually used in the map or not. And I didn't know this before; I just thought that since it said x textures where used I should just include those.

I think that it really interesting. There are some amazing textures out there that can really enhance maps. If I remember correctly I have 5 extra non HL textures in use and 2 of those are from Opfor and Redemption.
