I'm getting an ATI in my new computer anyway, so it works out. I currently have a GeForce 2 Ti, and I'm most likely going to get the Radeon 9500 pro...unless enough extra $$ comes my way then it'll be a search for the 9700 pro for me.

Basically, you know all those jagged lines you see, anti-aliasing gets rid of those.  Unfortunately, it can be a pain sometimes to get it to work correctly without messing up things.  Good examples of that are N64 games. Games could not turn off AA, so there were often blurry textures and in rare cases, big slowdowns.

In the end this whole thing will just add more fuel to the nVidot vs. ATI fanboy war.

i really doubt there will be any sugnificant difference between an ATI, and a GForce card of the same power, that is any more then there supposedly already is, but thats a different story.

everyone says there s**t is better...why wouldnt they?

as for the AA problem, im sure Nvidia will come up with something, and not to hammer the nail in the coffin, but ATI cards will have the same problem until both Dx9.1 is released, and the Dx9.1 drivers are coded(and work properly)

so at best, i would definately wait til the game comes out to upgrade or convert, and then once the problem is determined, then its time to trade out.

keep in mind, no pictures have been taken of HL2 with this supposed AA prob fixed... and im impressed!!!

They tested it & benchmarked it m8, ati were an enormous amount better. Nvidia disputes this & says they just wernt running the "newest" drivers for their cards. Though in all fairness ati have been working much closer with valve.

its a bad idea to compare the cards unless you have hundreds to spare, there both different and have there advantages and disadvantages for each price bracket. If I had ?500 spare ide buy the FX though. where as if I had about 150 - 200 ide deffinetly get a radeon.
