I'm puzzled by this error. I have the file in the folder mentioned above. I'm not sure why i am getting this error. This is for a DOD map. Has anyone else had this error?

simple the model is not there, reinstall the game, or even just open the pak file, and try to find it manualy.

(or change the path to the model in your map- Lep.)

Are you using steam?

If not, just replace the file (no need to re-install dod, I don't think).

If you are using steam you need to make a 'res' file. There is a res-gen program that you can here. It's also in the newest SDK and modding kit.

Well you don't have to make a .res file unless you're allowing people to download the map. It is irrelevant to those who already have it. 88flak.mdl is one of the defaults anyway, it should be in the .gcf or regular folder automatically upon installing DoD.

Is this for a map you're making, or one that you downloaded? Also, Steam or WON?

I found out that just typing in model slot this: models/88flak.mdl works.

Yeah, I figured it should do that as well. But I found that It doesn't always load (I've had it crash half the time and then work the other half, it's really weird.

Well, Johnny ... you solved your own problem then? lol

That's what I was going to suggest when you answered the downloaded or your own map question. But since you solved it, no worries.
