Its ADSL 256k but thats not the point... I'd have to pay for the connection if I got my own, and I cant afford that. At least not a decent connection (i.e. more than 5mb a month dl limit). And plugging my box into the adsl is not an option.
Does anyone think older drivers would work?

I hate it when a joke fizzles out like that  I was actually making a wisecrack about your parents being used as a modem or whatever, which was what you said. But bah. I'll shut up now.
And if any of you remember I had a similar problem with OGL drivers before and the Service pack fixed it. Try that if you can.

I know you can order a CD... but I'd have to pay for it. I have a friend who has it on CD tho, I'll get it from him in a week.
EDIT: CoD crashes still. Just installed, worked fine on first run, but second time it crashed and reset the computer.

Wil5on, it is your graphics. Something isn't processing normally, but if Games are crashing your computer it is most definatly either your graphics card or drivers. The service pack might fix it by fixing XP compatability issues. But, just letting you know ... its giving all the signs of a failing graphics card or poor drivers. Lets hope it is the latter, since the other would require purchase of a new card. If you want you can test this by testing the 3d capabilities of directX. I'm sure only OpenGL is crashing though ... one other thing it might be ... maybe, is your settings, try turning them down and see if it crashes, especially with MOH. With CoD, I found that an 'iffy' installation will cause it to act up. Nevertheless you said you can use your friends cd for the service pack, just wait to see what that will fix or break. Granted, when I did some MS updates it blocked all forms of popups, which pissed me off to no end. Just be aware it could change some things you don't want changed. Anyway, good luck.

Thanks Crono. I think that the card would still be under warranty tho... I got it early this year. I'll see what the update does...
Does anyone know any good general tech support forums?

I looked it up on the site, costs around $15US for anywhere in the US/Canada.
I hate to think what it would cost to get one sent to Aus...

If you plan to kill the person who gave you the virus, your little army of emoticons killing each other isn't going to help...

Looks to me like it's a brain with a spine attached to it.

Right you are. it is a spine with a brain, toying with the image of a sperm cell.
Or, a part of the CD cover for Industrial-metal band Fear Factory's 'Obsolete" album, a concept album on how machines will destroy mankind. It could have been better, but I thought it was a damned cool cover.
